Straight pull
To achieve an ideal balance between weight and stability, many DT Swiss wheels use different forms of straight pull spokes. Straight Pull spokes do not require a radius bow, eliminating a weak point. Nevertheless, they can be centered and replaced with standard tools.
Center Lock
A Shimano licensed brake disc holder.
Prolock
The screw locking system injected into the nipples enables the construction of extremely durable wheels.
Ratchet system
The patented freewheel system with high-precision toothed discs guarantees maximum load capacity and reliability. Thanks to the no-tool concept, the system is very easy and fast to maintain.
spline
The SPLINE Line features the new and lightweight straight pull hubs with well-known DT Swiss technology, straight spokes and sturdy rims. The combination of reliable and ideally matched components makes every spline wheel the perfect training and competition partner.
Tubeless ready
Tubeless ready rims are designed for use with tubeless kits and tires. They allow a correct fit of the tubeless rim tape and the tubeless tire.
AERO
Aerodynamics describes the flow behavior of objects in the medium of air. For us, aerodynamics means only one thing: to drive faster than ever! Without compromising on handling, rigidity and braking performance, the air resistance of the rider and bike is minimized to get the most effective overall system on the road.
Aerodynamics is currently one of the most important topics, which promotes the development in the wheel area on the road bike. How can the air resistance be minimized and what impact do the wheels have on the overall system of the driver and the bike? What difference can the driver really feel on the road, and which improvements bring more speed in the end? These and many other questions have been asked by DT Swiss again and again during the development process with our partner Swiss Side, and have set out in new directions. In contrast to the prevailing opinion, wheels still offer enormous potential for aerodynamic optimization. While most competitors only talk about optimizing the rims, DT have taken a closer look at the entire wheel with all its components. The result: a new definition of air resistance!
carbon
As a high-tech composite material made of fibers and resin, carbon can be used exactly according to the loads that occur. This allows unrivaled lightweight and durable parts to be constructed.
