Cotton

Cotton is processed from the flowers of the cotton plant and is the most wide-spread clothing fibre. Depending on the fabrication, it can be all from very robust to very delicate. It takes a long time to dry, features a bad thermal insulation and is highliy hydrophilic (soaks water). However, this eudermic material gives a "dry" sensation even when it's damp and is very comfortable to wear. Due to high abrasion, it is not suitable for functional biker's clothing - also not as underwear: Once it's damp, it dries slowly and the body temperature drops.
