Specialized has combined their Body Geometry knowledge with the know-how of their world's best athletes to redefine the race shoe. A completely new, patent-pending closure system, a Dyneema® reinforced shoe sock and an ultra-stiff FACT Powerline™ carbon outsole prevent

Foot movements in the shoe and reduce the pressure on the tendons. The result is outstanding power transmission and high comfort in the shoe. The S-Works Ares is 1% faster than any shoe Specialized has made to date and that's all that counts at the finish line.

These three features align your hip, foot and knee while reducing lateral knee movement and maintaining adequate ventilation to your toes
• Patent-pending closure system protects the foot from extreme movements when pedaling, blocks metatarsal movement and prevents lateral movement
• Dyneema® material is sandwiched between a synthetic layer and a layer of TPU to create rock-solid areas that still hug your foot
