Zipp's ultimate aero weapon is faster than ever thanks to its Total System Efficiency technology. The 858 NSW Carbon Tubebless Disc Brake Wheelset with TSE features tubeless and hookless rim profile for a seamless tire transition and massive weight reduction.

The 858 gives you the benefits of tall rims at a weight typically achieved with 20mm lower rims. The internal width of the wheel is 23mm and is ideal for running wider tires with lower pressure, thus reducing rolling resistance. Here's how TSE technology helps you overcome the four obstacles that stand in the way of speed: drag, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses.

The 858 NSW's wavy, 82mm to 85mm deep rim shape, Zipp's patented Sawtooth profile, is their best performing design for aero efficiency and crosswind stability. The 858 NSW features Zipp Carbon Internal Reinforcement (CiR), making the rim 10% lighter and just as strong as previous models.

The result is pure speed for triathlon, time trial and aggressive road cycling. And although this wheelset is optimized for tubeless tires, you still have the option of running tubeless-ready tires with tubes. The 858 NSW is fastest with a 28mm tire. In triathlon, wider tubeless tires with lower pressure are faster and provide a smoother ride, so your body is fresher for the run. Disc brakes also provide more reliable speed regulation and stopping power in all weather conditions.

At the heart of the 858 NSW is the Cognition V2 hubset, engineered with the Axial Clutch V2 mechanism for faster engagement, lower friction and improved durability.

Total system efficiency
Driving faster, on or off the road, means efficiency - more speed with less power. The combination of a wider tubeless tyre, lower tire pressure, a wider rim profile optimized for the tire interface and a new rim laminate results in a more efficient ride. Efficiency when applied to bicycles means less effort in overcoming: air resistance, gravity, rolling resistance and vibration losses

ImPress™
Zipp uses Zipp's ImPress™ graphics technology, which prints graphics directly onto the wheel. This allows the dimples to do exactly what they are designed to do - control vortex shedding, which is the rate at which air vortices shed from the impeller. This is of great importance for stability.
