Dare to adventure

Every cyclist experiences cycling as a transition. The condition upon departure will never be the same as upon arrival. Beyond the feeling of effort, you change internally and at the same time your view of the world around you changes. Every adventure is a development.
Adlar emerged from this area of tension. The bicycle as a means of making sense of things and clarifying our view of the world. An object that mutates, changes and transforms at the same time. And isn't that exactly what we mean by gravel?

We looked at our bikes. Rave SLR: Competition. Jena, Jaroon and Jareen: all-rounders made of carbon, steel and aluminum. We realized that gravel is also and increasingly an adventure, a more or less conscious way of grasping shapes and their meanings through the journey. Ascents, descents, encounters, sitting in the saddle for hours, completely autonomously, without time pressure. Alone or accompanied.

Maximum load 35kg

Adlar is aimed at bikepackers, explorers and cyclists. The carbon fiber frame structure has been reinforced to allow a maximum additional load of 35 kg. To achieve this quality we have combined new shapes, a careful study of geometries and fully integrated cable routing.

Something else

The frame weighs 1,100g and is available in five sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL. The geometry is derived from the mountain bike: the horizontal extension of the frame triangle (reach) is very pronounced. This solution allows the use of a shorter stem. This works in synergy with the open angle of the headset (70°). A development that ensures handling and control on the most demanding trails with a loaded bike.

Ready for change

The large wheel opening means that gravel tires from 52 mm (52-622) up to 29 x 2.00'' mountain bike tires can be used. The frame is designed for a fork with particularly long chainstays. This configuration allows the installation of a suspension fork (maximum travel of 40 mm, compatible with tapered headset 1" 1/4 - 1"1/2) without changing the overall geometry of the frame. There is also a hole on the right fork shaft for the cable routing of a possible dynamo hub. The seat post (27.2 mm) can also be replaced with a telescopic system.

Attachment and loading points

Front and rear racks distribute the weight of the bags across the thru-axles that run through the frame and fork. A decision that reduces the structural burden on Adlar. Additional attachment points ensure stability, and a third bottle or tool holder as well as a top tube bag can be mounted under the down tube. Completing the accessories are mudguards (sold separately) and a set of four quick-release bags developed in collaboration with Miss Grape.
