Especially on steep and longer climbs with the MTB on the trail, in the bike park or on longer tours in rough terrain, a larger tread on the pedal ensures improved ergonomics, more safety and more efficient power transmission. The CONTEC platform pedal "2Black" is perfectly tailored to these requirements: The one-piece aluminum body offers a generous tread and high torsional rigidity under high loads with a total weight of both pedals of only 420g.

The robust axle made of high-quality CrMo steel with the common 9/16" thread also contributes to the longevity and stability of the pedal. This steel alloy is characterized by high toughness and break resistance, which is a plus with the high continuous loads in mountain biking of safety and reliability, while smooth-running ball bearings ensure smooth running and good propulsion.

The CONTEC "2Black" platform pedal can also be adapted to personal needs on and off the trail thanks to removable reflectors and exchangeable pins (R-pins) and can be used in the long term without any compromises. Lost or worn pins can easily be replaced with new one or different colored R-pins, which are screwed into the provided threads with the supplied wrench.
