The Scamp has many kid-packaged features that Giro use on their best adult helmets. It starts with the helmet shell, which is manufactured using the in-mold process. It not only makes the Scamp light, safe and well ventilated, but also very durable. The Roc Loc Junior adjustment system is another great feature, allowing for quick and easy adjustment to the correct head size. The wide range of sizes ensures long-term use. All these functions become meaningless if the child does not want to wear the helmet. So they adapted the style of the Scamp to their new top model Montaro MIPS and added child-friendly designs. No little biker can simply say no.

With the in-mold construction, the robust polycarbonate outer shell is bonded to the impact-absorbing EPS inner shell in one operation while foaming. The helmet becomes tougher without any additional weight. This production process also makes it possible to form significantly better ventilation systems and vents. Compared to traditional helmets, in-mold helmets are lighter and have significantly better ventilation systems.

Roc Loc Jr.®
Roc Loc Jr. is an easy-to-adjust adjustment system with a rotary knob, specially designed for children's smaller heads. The system was developed using anatomical data derived from years of research to achieve the best possible secure and comfortable fit. A large rubberized knob makes it easy for adults to adjust the helmet to the correct size, so little ones can quickly start their ride.
